Link building on Facebook and Instagram - x-droov

When you think about social media marketing, you come to ask yourself whether Facebook or Instagram will help you with link building or not. The harsh fact is that they can’t, but I will try to show you how you can hack into the Facebook and Instagram algorithms.
Facebook is for kids. That’s the only description I have for it. It has been my main social handle, but I think it’s high time I switched to Twitter. I know its going  to take time, but it’s worthy the time. It’s all  because I can’t keep hiding my blog's brand because of Facebook’s conservative rules. Think about it, Facebook prevents you from sharing unpopular links because they want you to apply for their ads in order to make your brand known.
It’s not only that, they hide behind the lie that they are protecting their community. These are rules in teen dating sites. They are parental rules that save kids from spammers. Look at Facebook, there are many people who know what they click and what to do about spammers, but this rule persists. It’s a pain to all new bloggers because it increases the huddles that you have to skip.
I have used those paragraphs to simply tell you that anyone who tells you that Facebook and Instagram marketing can work for beginners is just being good for nothing. You won’t do it. You might be using WordPress or Blogger, but it’s all the same. I haven’t tried it with a custom domain, but I think it’s the same. It’s worse for the subdomain guys. I am yet to see whether Facebook has its own web spiders that do their own crawling and indexing. So, how do we beat Facebook.

Shorten your URLS

This works for Facebook newbies. It can’t work for you if you’ve ever been an affiliate spammer. Those days I did some good affiliate spamming that Facebook blocked me from posting for about two weeks so, their code has crammed that I will always post spam. If you’ve never spammed then you are safe. Shorten your URLS with one the following.

1. Shrink.me
This site is great because it pays you per number of clicks on your shortened links. You just need to create an account and you are on. Make money using your traffic. It’s great for social media, but not for real link building because you’ll be giving all your link juice to shrink.me. Register for an account here.

2. Bitly
Have you ever come across any link with bit.ly/gh5fg or anything related? That’s URL shortening. You can also do it here conveniently then share your links easily. Register for an account here.
Remember that Bitly is more authoritative than shrink so you can select having in mind that shrink can pay extensively.

Use online article posting sites

These are old sites that are not a threat to Facebook. The goal is not to connect directly or redirect users, but to create integrated articles in such sites with many links back to your site. It’ll help you with traffic until a time when Facebook will give you consideration. You can check out the list of such sites here.

Add it as a website to your page

This won’t work immediately. You first have to create a page, let people like it, wait for some time then add the website. It’s a great trick because the Facebook algorithm sees you as someone with a following and trust. That’ll enable you to add your website, but of course you won’t be able to post your urls in your page soon enough.
That’s it. If you are a new site, you will face the rejection, but soon, it will be out. Try the methods above. If you aren’t able to use them or Facebook gets smarter, try Twitter and Telegram or create a WhatsApp group for your fans. Creating a WhatsApp group is slow because you are just a newbie. Try sharing your posts in WhatsApp groups.
Facebook is dad to WhatsApp so soon, they’ll realize that many people are leaving WhatsApp for your site and they’ll know that you are someone credible. I used Facebook throughout the article because it has similar behaviors with Instagram.
The fact remains that Facebook is rough on new blogs and sites. If you used a different method or are experimenting with a new approach on social media link building don’t be scared to let me know in the comments or the contact us form inside the hamburger menu. Thanks for reading.
