How to start an SEO friendly blogger site - x-droov

You may be a starter or a blogger searching for a great blogging platform, but don’t understand how you can create a blogger site with high SEO capabilities. With such a goal, you need great guidance on configuring SEO tips on a blogspot site.
Blogspot is becoming a left out blogging platform. Most people are running to Wordpress and other platforms. This isn’t because Blogger is useless, but because of the large number of options available on other platforms. The rise of anti-blogspot campaigners has also lowered it down. If you read many comparisons between blogger and wordpress, you find that most guys consider blogspot sites as training sites for bloggers. Meaning that you learn blogging on blogspot then make it a profession on another platform.
That sickness should never catch your head if you are a blogspot user. At least I have gone through great blogspot subdomains like bazzhood and oklesson which are performing highly in terms of SEO. Sorry, but this isn’t the sole purpose of this article so, let’s create your SEO friendly blogger site.

Steps to follow when creating an SEO friendly blogspot site

1. Creating a blogspot subdomain

This is the first step. It doesn’t matter whether you are creating a custom domain site that is powered by blogger or a mere subdomain. This is the first step. Follow the steps below to select a proper domain name.

a. Use a search engine

It doesn’t matter which search engine you use because all of them use the same style of information collection.
Search for prospective names because SEO starts from your domain name. Remember that you are a baby in the industry so you don’t want to select a name with so
much competition that you’ll take two years to secure spot number one for your name.
Keep feeding in the names. The best names are those that have competition from rare Amazon products, dictionary words, scrambled words, rare Twitter hashtags, YouTube videos and other easy to kill competitors.
These will be easy to beat and in less than a month, you’ll be ranking at #1 for your subdomain name.

b. Write down the list of names you get and select the best.

You might want a specific name, but if it’s against your desire to get high online presence then ditch it. People will know your brand because of what it provides not what it’s named. Take an example of Fiverr. Everyone knows that it is a freelancing site, but does fiverr have any freelancing wires? No.

c. Log into blogger.com

Log into blogger to claim your name. Sometimes you may find that your researched name is already taken that’s why you should have backup names. It’s on rare occasions that you find your researched name. Once you have got that, lets continue to the next steps.

2. Add search description

Navigate to settings and turn on custom robots search description. The textarea field will appear where you will have to fill out your search description. Let this be a great description, your mission as a blog. It should include why you created the blog and what you look forward to. It may also define you the blog team and your determination to provide a solution to a certain problem.

3. Add robots.txt file

This is simple to generate. It’s a file that tells search engine robots what to do around your site. The simple file is the one that allows robots to crawl your whole site. You may be scared of how to create it, but you can create it in two clicks.
Search for generating blogspot robots.txt file on Google. Many websites will do that easily.
Go to your settings, enable robots.txt then paste the generated code in the textarea and save.

4. Register for search console

This is simple. Just navigate to search.google.com to get your search console. No need to login because it’spart of the Google products.
Enter your blog name in the add properties part.

5. Submit a sitemap

This is an xml file showing all your site urls. It’s automatically generated by blogger. Simply go to Google search console and navigate to sitemaps. Add the url below into the sitemap input field and click submit.

https://yoursite.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

If you want to have a look at your sitemap, go to that address in your browser.

6. Post your first article

When you are done, post a simple article to introduce your site. It can be as short as one hundred words.

If you do that when creating your site, your blogspot will be set to rank on Google easily. Make sure that you do each and every task above. It won’t take long before you are first indexed. Blogger is Google’s kid that’s why every serious blogspot site that does the above tricks gets an indexing of strictly one article before the second week ends. That will be the first indexing. Depending on how you post, your second may be scheduled at more than a month later, but crawling will be common after one month.
Keep this in mind: you don’t need to register for Google analytics as quickly as possible because, what will you be analysing? The blogger stats can give you some good analytical insights for the start. Once you are done, read my review of the blogger mobile app before you download it.
Blogpot is great and it’s easy to create an SEO friendly blogspot site. You just need time and your process of dominating the web will be so easy to start. I personally use blogspot as you already see. If you got any questions or additions, keep the messaging fresh by commenting. You can also share the content with your friends. Thanks for reading.
