The latest bursts in the number of youth joining social media is changing the way in which we view and use it. Most people see it as a place to post content and get likes, some as a basin of money making machines and these mostly being youtube and Instagram.
Yeah, you can make money in those sites, but knowing that all places that give a cash return require energy should keep atleast a bunch of youths out of trying that yet it can't. More channels are created, more followers are being bought, and more time is being wasted. Yet that's not what we are discussing today.
Using social media for following useless and temporary changes only leaves you obsessed with the continued use of it. The main use of social media is to keep people connected and allow educative grouping and peer help. I think Zuckerberg is right when he says Facebook is a place for connecting people with their loved ones through an ability to share life events even at alternate parts of the world.
The nice things are always nice that's why every youth wants to be ronaldo and everyone wants to sing like Drake. Because Drake is posting nice pictures and getting millions of likes should not make you waste a ton of your time trying to post such. Remember, before Drake could post such pics, he had to first sweat to get his music to be liked, Ronaldo had to train like a tiger to achieve mastery.
Thousands of good pictures which would have earned their owners millions of likes, had they been celebrities, are posted daily. Why? To get more likes. But if you haven't sweated for something, you can't get it. Some guyz are born to be socialites and I can't stop you from being one, but know that if you want to be a socialite work hard and you'll be.
If you wan't to be an engineer, instead of posting pics and waiting for likes, join engineering groups and share information then you'll benefit from your social experience. If you wanna be a singer, join music groups and get known then come back and post those milion-likes pics.
Life is more than likes and followers. It's what you make yourself after all your sweat and that can only be determined after evaluating yourself and measuring the success you have attained in the amount of time you spent dancing with your time.
Look at yourself and dig deep for what you like in your heart for example I like computers and writing so my home on Facebook is only filled with computer posts and don't forget that you don't need to leave facebook to watch comedy videos if you are really using it for the things that you like.
Concentrate your efforts on making yourself happy. If you feel you can't live without the comedy vids and the nice picture then do them, but regulate on how often you use them in order to prevent the distractive power those things have on many people.
Keep it in mind that you brain uses more RAM to process videos so it may lose some information acquired so, this makes audio and written information a first priority for learning purposes though video can work more prolifically when backed up by written.
Control how much time you give to chat and block it for most of your time on social media. Remember info is switching each time so having to reply to messages when you have to concentrate on learning or presenting you findings for ctitique by your peers gives a knock back on your time management leaving most af your tasks unfinished.
This might not be a key point because not so many people keep time as it is supposed to be kept and that's why you rarely find people who pray that they had 30hour days.
Leave commenting on pictures to your free time, or instead use that time to review products for money. Search online for lists of sites that pay for your reviews. Though most of them require you to be in the US.
Connect to useful guyz who will give you additional value. These will be profesionals in your field and never know you might get out of the money-hustle by getting a job online.
Things range from teaching others what you know and mostly working for another group of like minded individuals. You could teach someone graphics design or youtube marketting depending on your passion.
Never use social media for more than two hours in a day unless you are being paid to update someone's page or reply to messages. Phones calculate amount of time spent on each app, but if your phone doesn't then playstore or applestore will be your remedy for an app that does so. If you use social media to connect with friends everyday, twenty minutes are enough owing to the fact that you will be sending messages everyday then leave the remaining time to self growth. Remember only important chats should dominate your chat time and apart from that, all the others should maintain their daily dosage of 20min whih is not bad.
Social media is not specifically for real time dating which should mainly be adapted to the physical. Dates should be in the football field , in the restaurant, old buildings and some lonely places not on your socials.
Love can be urgent sometimes, but know that the start of everything is interesting, but continuing the hold is hard. So if you know that in weeks to come, intimacy will reduce, then you can control the urge to chat every hour through.
Don't think for a minute about the next thing you will post unless you have an obligation to do so. Take an example, Shakira has an obligation to post on her socials duely or else people will forget about her.If you can understand that then you know what I am saying. Think about them when you have to and never waste any more time.
Remember when you know what you want, your money goes to good use. Unmistakably, some guyz waste money buying a nice outfit for a social media pic and spend a month or so without posting any other improvement in their lives because of the phobia they think is associated with posting their real lives. WHY???
No one will touch you and if any, they are those who haven't realized it so either help them realise or keep shut.
Summary
Social media is no monster and it's the best ally when you know how to use it. Fail to know how and you are out of your real life goal, your pourpose.
